ENO Breathe is a social prescribing programme developed by the English National Opera to help tackle the effects of Long COVID.
The programme, focusing on breathlessness and associated anxiety has been developed specifically for people recovering from COVID-19. Delivered by ENO in collaboration with Imperial College Healthcare teams virtually, the programme focuses on breathing re-training through singing. ENO Breathe is not a choir or singing group. It is a social prescribing (non-clinical) intervention that uses singing techniques to aid recovery from COVID-19.
Through ENO’s partnerships with various NHS Trusts within the UK, over 500 participants have already been referred into the programme. ENO Breathe is empowering patients with their own management of breathlessness and anxiety - post COVID-19 infection, by equipping them with the tools they need.
